Harry Salmon completed the game without help from the bullpen as the Michigan
Timbers topped the dreadful Bristol Blasters by a score of 2 to 1 at Blaster
Field.
The game was won by Michigan when they scored a run in the top of the 9th
inning. Edd Roush stroked a single. Hooks Johnson next to the plate and he
lashed a single. Sam Rice then reached on an error scoring the run. Neither
team was able to score until the 7th inning.
The victory went to Salmon(13-9) who went the distance allowing 1 run. The
losing pitcher was Bullet Joe Rogan(5-12) in relief.
Michigan now has a record of 75-67. With this loss, Bristol has a 3-7 record
of late, 49-96, worst in the division overall.
