Oscar Charleston blasted a homerun and had 5 RBI as the Hibbing Dylans
defeated the Gallifrey Time Lords by the score of 12 to 8 at Rolling Thunder
Park.
Charleston helped send the fans home happy. He cracked a two-run shot in the
1st inning, tripled bringing in two baserunners in the 6th inning and lined a
one-base hit bringing in a run in the 7th inning. Gallifrey was not lacking
for run support as they scored in 5 separate innings, yet victory eluded them
as they seemed to forget that pitching is also needed to win ballgames.
Bill Sherdel(16-8) picked up the victory, allowing 5 runs in 6 innings. Isidro
Fabre(0-1) ended up with the loss. Hibbing knocked him around a bit, as he
gave up 7 runs in 5 innings.
'Everything seemed to click today,' Charleston said 'if it could only be this
easy all the time!'
