It was a wild day in Blaster Field where the Bristol Blasters defeated the
Denver Dingers by the score of 11 to 10.
Bristol brought 5 runs across the plate in the bottom of the 4th inning with
the help of 4 hits. The key at-bat was by Milt Smith who elicited a roar
from the hometown fans when he banged out a single scoring two baserunners.
Due to a poorly pitched ballgame, scoring in 6 different innings was still
not enough for Denver to come away with the victory.
The winning pitcher was Groundhog Thompson(11-12) who allowed 8 runs in 5 and
1/3 innings. Joe Page earned his 27th save. Mamavila Osorio(0-1) took the
loss in relief. He was knocked around pretty good, giving up 5 runs in 2
innings.
