The The Little Feat toppled the Tenth Avenue Freezeouts by a 7 to 3 score at
Lowell George Park.
In the bottom of the 3rd inning The Little scored 3 runs with the help of 4
hits. After an out was recorded, Pete Reiser kicked off the action when he
smashed a solo-shot out of the park. After another out, Lennie Pearson came
to the plate and doubled. Perico Formental then doubled driving in one more
runner. Elston Howard stepped in and he doubled scoring the final run of the
inning. That was all the offense they were to need. The Little had 14 hits
for the afternoon while Tenth Avenue had 11.
Preacher Roe(14-9) picked up the victory, allowing 3 runs in 8 innings. Ellis
Kinder(8-15) was tagged with the loss. He got hit hard, allowing 14 hits and
3 walks in 7 and 1/3 innings.
