Charlie White had 3 base hits as the Gallifrey Time Lords bested the
Pittsburgh Bichipoos 7 to 4 at The TARDIS.
Pittsburgh was unable to claim the lead after Gallifrey went ahead in the
bottom of the 2nd inning when they came up with 3 runs on 3 hits. The big
moment was provided by Wally Westlake who electrified The TARDIS when he
banged out a single bringing in two baserunners. Pittsburgh had a chance in
the 9th but they came up short.
Randy Gumpert(16-7) went 8 innings allowing 4 runs for the win. Booker
McDaniel earned the save, his 11th. Joe Coleman(8-6) was given the loss. He
allowed 6 hits and 4 walks in 2 and 1/3 innings.
'It's a disheartening loss, no question about it' said Danny Murtaugh 'But we
have to get over it and get ready for the next game.'
