Left fielder Brian Downing went yard and had 4 RBI at The TARDIS where the
Gallifrey Time Lords beat the Minnesota Loons in 10 innings 9 to 7.
The score was tied at 7 after nine. Gallifrey came out on top in the 10th
inning. After an out was recorded, Steve Staggs began the Gallifrey spurt
when he slapped a base-hit. Rick Monday was next and he lifted one out of
the park for a two run home run giving Gallifrey the win much to the delight
of the home town crowd. Gallifrey rapped out 12 hits for the night.
The winning pitcher was Clay Carroll(4-7) who allowed no runs in 1 and 1/3
innings. Max Leon(6-5) suffered the loss in relief. He pitched 1 and 1/3
innings and surrendered 3 hits and no walks.
