Chico Fernandez jacked one out of the ballyard and scored 3 times as the
Bristol Blasters defeated the Iowa MoonlightGraham by the score of 6 to 4 at
Fenway Park.
In the bottom of the 5th inning Bristol went on top for good scoring 2 runners
on 4 hits. The crucial at-bat was provided by Gordy Coleman who thrilled the
crowd when he doubled scoring two baserunners. Iowa proved to be no trouble
in the 9th.
The victory went to Jack Kralick(6-18) who went 8 innings, allowing 4 runs.
Clem Labine preserved the game for Kralick, recording his his 9th save. Bob
Hendley(5-5) took the loss. He allowed a few too many baserunners giving up
9 hits and 2 walks in 6 innings.
