With the hometown crowd on the edge of their seats, Colorado 14ers came from

White stepped up to the plate and he laid down a sacrifice bunt. Riggs
Stephenson then was hit by a pitch. Johnny Bassler stepped in and he drew a
walk to load the bases. Willie Wells stepped into the box and laced a
base-knock which scored a run. Andy High joined his teammates in the
uprising and lined a single resulting in a mighty exciting win for Colorado
and the 49,138 home town fans in attendance. Colorado had a total of 13 hits
for the game.

The win was credited to Zip Campbell(10-6) who went 1 inning allowing 2 runs.
