Third baseman Ed Finney touched them all and had 2 RBI as the Minnesota Loons
defeated the pathetic Sterling Silver Sluggers 4 to 1 at The Looney
Bin.

Sterling fell behind quickly as the Minnesota offense came through in the
first inning plating 3 runs on 3 base hits. After an out was recorded, Lyman
Bostock started the attack as he drew a walk. Bob Harvey was next and he
doubled. Eddie Robinson then slapped a single scoring a run. One out later,
Finney stepped in and he smashed a two-run homer. That was all Rufus
Lewis(6-15) needed. After the 4th inning, neither team was able to score.

Rafael Navaretta earned the save, his 5th. Fred Hutchinson(7-10) suffered the
loss. He surrendered 7 hits and 2 walks in 6 innings.
