Tommy Thomas(19-6) and Jack Russell(2-2) treated the Gallifrey fans to a fine
pitching duel at The TARDIS. The Hibbing Dylans eventually emerged as
victors over the Gallifrey Time Lords by the score of 3 to 0.
Gallifrey lost it in the 8th inning when Hibbing did all their damage with 3
runs utilizing 4 base hits. After an out was recorded, Judy Johnson
initiated the scoring spurt when he doubled. Mule Suttles stepped up to the
plate and he stroked a single. Heinie Mueller then doubled bringing in a
run. Johnny Hodapp stepped in and he hit a deep fly bringing home one more
runner. Oscar Charleston came to the plate and ripped a base-knock scoring
the final run of the inning. Hibbing ended up with 8 hits for the game while
Gallifrey had 5.
Thomas was helped out by General Crowder who recorded his 13th save.
