In a close game the Hibbing Dylans got by the Gallifrey Time Lords in 13
innings by the score of 6 to 4.
Both teams had scored 4 runs after nine full innings. Finally, Hibbing
prevailed in the 13th inning. Red Parnell opened up the inning nicely when
he drew a walk. After an out was recorded, Ken Williams came to the plate
and lined a one-base hit. Williams took second on a stolen base. After
another out, Johnny Grabowski came to bat and drew a walk. Marty McManus
stepped into the box and tripled knocking home two runners. Despite losing,
Gallifrey out-hit Hibbing 17 to 9.
The win went to General Crowder(2-5) who allowed no runs in 4 innings. Wilbur
Pritchett(1-2) took the loss in relief. He pitched 2 innings allowing 2 hits
and 2 walks.
