Tom Glavine came through with a solid 8 and two third innings as the Savannah
Rumrunners topped the Bristol Blasters by a score of 3 to 0 at Fenway
Park.
Savannah took the lead for keeps in the top of the 4th inning scoring a single
run utilizing 2 base hits. Bristol was out-hit by Savannah, 9 hits to 5.
Glavine(13-6) allowed no runs in 8 and 2/3 innings, and picked up the victory.
Jeff Shaw recorded his 37th save. The loss was charged to Dennis
Springer(2-2).
Wth the win Savannah now has a record of 56-58. With this loss, Bristol has a
5-5 record of late, 52-65 overall.
