Left fielder Johnny Mokan had 2 base hits and 3 RBI at The Palace as the
Bumpass BS beat the Cincinatti Royalty by the count of 12 to 8.

Cincinatti fell behind quickly as the Bumpass offense came through in the
first inning when they came up with 5 runs on 4 hits.  The big moment was
provided by Al Nixon who silenced The Palace as he doubled which was good for
two runs.  Bumpass banged out 13 hits on the afternoon.  

The win was credited to Ted Lyons(18-6) who went 2 and 1/3 innings allowing 3
runs. Dutch Henry(7-7) was the losing pitcher.  He got hammered, allowing 8
hits and 3 walks in 5 innings.
