The Michigan Timbers bested the Denver Dingers by a 5 to 2 score at Royal Oaks
Ballpark.

Michigan took the lead for good in the 6th inning when they tallied 2 runs on
3 hits.  Denver had a chance to come back in the 9th but they came up short.

Wilcy Moore(18-2) allowed no runs in 4 and 1/3 innings, and picked up the
victory. Dolly Cooper(15-4) took the loss.  He was touched for 12 hits and 2
walks in 7 innings.  

'Anytime you lose it hurts,' said Wayne Stanko 'but it's losing the close ones
that really hurt.'
