The hometown crowd was rewarded with a dramatic ending, as the Pittsburgh
Bichipoos staged a comeback win over the Denver Dingers by the count of 5 to

Pittsburgh scored the decisive runs in a big 9th inning with 2 runs on 2 hits.
Eddie Kazak led off and keyed the rally when he drew a walk. Roy Sievers
stepped into the batter's box and he laced a single. After an out was
recorded, Chiquitin Cabrera then drew a walk to load the bases. Ray Noble
followed next and he ripped a base-hit which scored a run. One out later,
Buddy Blattner stepped in and he drew a walk giving Pittsburgh the win as
42,095 happy fans joyfully celebrated. Both teams ended up with 8 hits on
the afternoon.

Al Benton(11-9) went 1 inning allowing no runs for the win. Toots Ferrell(6-4)
was tagged with the loss in relief. 'We just wouldn't give up,' Sievers
said. 'Much of the credit goes to our fans - they were with us the whole
way.'
