One run was the difference at Wriggly Field as the Seattle Pilots defeated the
Bumpass Black Cats 3 to 2.
Seattle delivered all the runs required in the 2nd inning when they came up
with 3 runs on 2 hits. That was all the offense they were to need. Bumpass
had a chance in the 9th but they came up short.
Jim Bibby(7-11) went 7 innings allowing 2 runs for the win. Mike Marshall
earned his 18th save. David Clyde(0-1) ended up with the loss. He gave up 3
runs and 6 hits in 6 innings.
