Sluggers shutout the Pinch Quicks in 10 innings 1 to 0.
The run-column was full of goose eggs at the end of nine full innings.
Sterling won it in the 10th inning. Ryne Sandberg lofted a solo-blast
'downtown' giving Sterling the victory and sending the 45,354 home-town fans
home happy. Sterling finished with just 3 hits in the victory.
Arthur Rhodes(7-4) took the loss in relief. He was unable to retire a batter
giving up 1 hit and no walks.
