Jim Edmonds knocked 2 homeruns and had 3 RBI as the Pinch Quicks defeated the
Colorado 14ers 5 to 2 at Olympic Stadium.
The Pinch fans enjoyed the offense provided by Edmonds. He smashed a
solo-shot out of the park in the 3rd inning, clubbed a solo home run in the
5th inning and ripped a base-knock knocking in a run in the 7th inning.
Pinch out-hit Colorado for the game, 10 hits to 6.
Arthur Rhodes(8-4) got credit for the victory, pitching 1 inning and allowing
no runs. Hector Carrasco recorded his 1st save. Terry Mulholland(8-10) was
the loser in relief. Pinch knocked him around a bit, as he gave up 3 runs in
2 innings.
When questioned, Crack Rock Johnson remarked, 'It's been a while since a win
felt this good - heck, it's been a while since we had a win period!'
