Jim Perry was able to finish what he started and was credited with a complete
game as the Galifrey Time Lords bested the Detroit Polecats 10 to 6 at Busch
Stadium.
Detroit fell behind quickly as the Galifrey offense came through in the first
inning as they scored 3 runs on 4 base hits. The highlight belonged to John
Ellis who made the crowd come alive when he delivered a single plating two
runs. Detroit scored in 5 different innings, but their shaky pitching kept
them from victory.
Perry(6-12) was the winner allowing 6 runs for the game. Bruce Dal Canton(4-6)
took the loss. He couldn't find the strike zone and allowed 7 walks in 4
innings.
