In a good matchup it was the Mid-World Bumblers 6, the Sterling Silver
Sluggers 4 at Silver Slapper Park.

Mid-World came up with 3 runs in the 7th inning when they had 3 base hits.
Jimmy Dykes kicked off the action when he slapped a one-base hit.  Heinie
Manush stepped into the batter's box and he tripled plating a run.  Bill
Terry then tripled driving in another run.  Hack Wilson came up and he hit a
deep fly scoring the final run of the inning.  Mid-World had 12 hits for the
afternoon while Sterling had 7.  

Willie Powell(8-11) picked up the victory, allowing 3 runs in 7 innings. Mike
Cvengros recorded the save, his 4th.  Yellowhorse Morris(7-9) was hit with
the loss.  He gave up 6 runs and 12 hits in 9 innings.
