Shortstop Pee Wee Reese slammed a homerun and had 2 RBI as the Gallifrey Time
Lords defeated the Bristol Blasters by the score of 3 to 0 at The
TARDIS.
Gallifrey delivered all the runs required in the 7th inning with 3 runs on 3
base hits. After an out was recorded, Ready Cash began the Gallifrey spurt
when he doubled. Jerry Scala stepped up next and he hit a single knocking in
a run. Scala took second on the throw. After another out, Reese then
clubbed a two-run home run. Gallifrey had 9 hits for the afternoon.
Peanuts Davis(4-7) went 7 innings allowing no runs for the victory. Davis was
helped out by Bill Kennedy who recorded his 3rd save. Groundhog
Thompson(5-10) was given the loss. He pitched 7 innings giving up 7 hits and
1 walk.
The Gallifrey ballclub's record now stands at 47-39. Still in a bad slump,
with this loss, Bristol is 2-8 lately and 39-43 on the year.
