The Savannah Rumrunners edged the Bumpass BS at The GAS by the score of 9 to
8.
Savannah had 5 runs cross the plate in the 7th inning with the help of 3 hits.
They would prove to be the difference in the contest. Bumpass had 13 hits
in the game while Savannah had 9, but Savannah had the more timely hits.
The victory went to Lefty Grove(6-7) who went 3 and 1/3 innings, allowing 2
runs. Grove got relief help from Rube Currie who gained credit for his 13th
save. Ted Lyons(16-6) took the loss in relief. Savannah scored big getting
5 runs off him in 3 and 1/3 innings.
