At Veterans Stadium the Savannah Rumrunners were battered 9 to 2 by the
Bristol Blasters.
Amos Otis had a good evening at the plate. He cracked a solo homerun in the
1st inning, doubled in the 3rd inning and lashed a single which was good for
two runs in the 8th inning. Bristol had 13 hits for the game and Savannah
had 5.
Rick Langford(7-9) was the winner allowing 2 runs in 8 innings. The losing
pitcher was Steve Renko(2-6). He was touched for 3 homeruns in his 5 and 1/3
innings of work.
'Thankfully we got ourselves a win', Langford said. 'It's great to be back on
the winning side of things.'
