In a wild and wooly game at Bright Health Park, the Colorado 14ers finally
topped the The Little Feat by the score of 11 to 10 in 10 inning.
The score was knotted at 8 after nine innings. Colorado won the game in the
10th inning. Riggs Stephenson kicked off the action when he doubled. Johnny
Neun came to the plate and drew a walk. Willie Wells then lined a one-base
hit, and an error was also committed, plating a run. Johnny Bassler came up
and he laced a base-knock, and an error was also committed, resulting in an
exciting win for Colorado and a raucous post-game celebration by the home
town fans. This was a game of many highs and lows for the home town fans, as
the lead kept changing - 6 times in all.
Garland Braxton(10-5) went 3 innings allowing 3 runs for the victory. Jake
Miller(3-5) was the losing pitcher in relief. He was knocked around,
surrendering 3 runs in 2 innings.
