Norm Cash blasted 2 homeruns and had 5 RBI and Gary Bell allowed Jeff Meleras
to rest his bullpen, tossing a complete game at Metropolitan Stadium where
the Hibbing Dylans beat the The Little Feat by the score of 7 to 2.
Cash enjoyed a great evening at the plate. He lost the ball over the fence
for three runs in the 3rd inning, blasted a two-run home run in the 5th
inning and hit a single in the 8th inning. Hibbing rapped out 9 hits for the
night.
The victory was credited to Bell(4-7) who went the distance, allowing 2 runs.
Early Wynn(4-5) was given the loss. He gave up 5 runs and 5 hits in 7
innings.
'I had a big day, but there's a lot of credit to go around' Cash said. 'We
played well together as a team.'
