Enos Slaughter had 4 hits and 4 RBI and Preacher Roe pitched a complete game
as the The Little Feat outscored the Pittsburgh Bichipoos 8 to 2.
Slaughter had a big evening at the plate. He belted a three-run homer in the
1st inning, tripled resulting in a run in the 3rd inning, ripped a base-knock
in the 4th inning and smacked a single in the 8th inning. The Little banged
out 15 hits on the night.
Roe(7-6) allowed 2 runs on the game. Tommy Byrne(6-7) was the losing pitcher.
He allowed a few too many baserunners giving up 6 hits and 2 walks in 2
innings.
