Right fielder Bob Thurman slammed a homerun and had 3 RBI at Rolling Thunder
Park as the Hibbing Dylans won in dramatic fashion coming back to beat the
Denver Dingers by the count of 8 to 5.
Hibbing had the winning rally in the 9th inning scoring 5 runners on 4 hits.
The critical plate appearance was by Thurman who excited the crowd when he
lofted a three-run 'big-fly'. Hibbing finished with 16 hits while Denver
ended up with 8.
The victory was credited to Raul Galata(3-4) who went 1 inning, allowing 1
run. The losing pitcher was Dizzy Trout(1-4) in relief.
'What a game!,' Galata said afterward. 'When we won it I almost couldn't
believe it!'
