In a two run game the Colorado 14ers tallied 4 runs in the 1st inning and got
by the Providence Red Pandas by the score of 5 to 3.

Colorado drew first blood jumping out to an early lead in the first inning as
they scored 4 runs on 3 base hits.  That was all the offense they were to
need.  Providence was retired without difficulty in the bottom of the 9th.

Bill Werle(6-2) went 5 and 1/3 innings allowing 2 runs for the win. Gerry
Staley recorded the save, his 8th.  James Cohen(3-8) ended up with the loss.
