In a thriling finish the Hibbing Dylans pulled off the win over the Minnesota
Loons by a score of 6 to 5 at Rolling Thunder Park.
The game was won by Hibbing when they scored a run in the bottom of the 9th
inning. After an out was recorded, Bucky Harris drew a walk. After another
out, Rap Dixon came up and he doubled giving Hibbing the win and sending the
home town fans into a frenzy. Hibbing totaled 11 hits on the afternoon.
The winning pitcher was Lil Stoner(7-5) who allowed no runs in 2/3 of an
inning. Watty Clark(2-3) was the losing pitcher in relief. He pitched 2/3 of
an inning and surrendered 1 hit and 1 walk.
