Gus Triandos cracked a homer and had 2 RBI as the Bristol Blasters topped the
Sugarland Skeeters in 10 innings by a score of 4 to 3 at Fenway Park.
Both teams had scored 2 runs after nine full innings. Bristol won the game in
the 10th inning. Billy Williams led off and got things going when he
doubled. After an out was recorded, Triandos came to bat and clubbed a
two-run home run giving Bristol the win much to the delight of the home town
crowd. Bristol won despite being out-hit by Sugarland 12 hits to 7.
Clem Labine(2-0) picked up the victory, allowing no runs in 2/3 of an inning.
Terry Fox(4-4) was the loser in relief. He allowed 1 hit and no walks
without retiring a batter.
