Eddie Robinson connected with a 'big fly' and had 2 RBI at The Looney Bin as
the Minnesota Loons won a thriller over the reeling Providence Red Pandas in,
6 to 5.
The game was won by Minnesota with a run in the bottom of the 9th inning.
Lyman Bostock drew a walk. Norman Robinson stepped up to the plate and he
laced a base-hit. Robinson took second on the throw. Willard Brown then was
walked intentionally to load the bases. Robinson followed and he laced a
single making Minnesota the winners and sending the 46,841 fans home happy.
Minnesota had 16 hits for the game and Providence had 10.
Johnny Antonelli(9-6) went 1 inning allowing no runs for the victory. Jack
Banta(4-9) ended up with the loss in relief. Minnesota now has a record of
48-55. Providence continued their losing ways and their record is now 51-52.
