At Fenway Park the Galifrey Time Lords ended a long winless drought and
outscored the Bristol Blasters 8 to 5.
Galifrey scored the decisive runs in a big top of the 8th inning plating 2
runs on 3 base hits. Vic Power kicked off the action when he doubled.
Willie Tasby followed next and he drew a walk. Gary Geiger then doubled
scoring two baserunners. Galifrey totaled 12 hits on the night.
Bob Purkey(11-6) picked up the victory, allowing 4 runs in 7 innings. Art
Fowler earned the save, his 23rd. Al McBean(0-1) absorbed the loss in
relief.
