Third baseman Rico Petrocelli hit one over the fence and had 2 RBI as the
Pittsburgh Bichipoos defeated the Georgia Rumrunners by a score of 10 to 5 at
The Couch.
Pittsburgh promptly took the lead in their half of the first when they came up
with 5 runs on 4 hits. The highlight belonged to Roger Metzger who brought
the crowd to their feet when he doubled which was good for two runs.
Pittsburgh totaled 11 hits on the afternoon.
Bill Bonham(10-3) went 6 innings allowing 5 runs for the win. Jim Rooker(6-6)
was the loser. He got hit pretty hard, allowing 8 hits and 5 walks in 3
innings.
Pittsburgh now has a record of 36-40. With the loss Georgia now has a record
of 42-38.
