Shortstop Jeff Blauser had 2 base hits as the Colorado 14ers defeated the
Denver Dingers 5 to 4 at Kaufmann Stadium.
Colorado took the lead for good in the 2nd inning scoring one runner. Blauser
tripled. John Jaha next to the plate and he drew a walk. Chuck Finley then
had one get away for a wild pitch scoring the run. Denver threatened in the
9th but their rally came up short.
Curt Schilling(8-7) got the win allowing 3 runs in 7 innings. Doug Jones
earned his 16th save. Finley(5-6) absorbed the loss. He was touched for 10
hits and 8 walks in 6 innings.
