Skip Lockwood finished beautifully as the Sterling Silver Sluggers beat the
The Little Feat by a score of 8 to 6.

Sterling went ahead for good in the 6th inning plating 2 runs on 2 hits.  Gary
Carter led off the inning for Sterling when he doubled.  Rick Miller stepped
up next and he laid down a sacrifice bunt.  Rennie Stennett then would hit
into a fielders choice which brought home a run.  Stennett took his lead and
swiped second.  Darrell Evans came to the plate and doubled scoring the final
run of the inning.  The Little was out-hit by Sterling, 13 hits to 9.  

The victory went to Rick Rhoden(9-2) who went 6 innings, allowing 6 runs.
Lockwood earned his 16th save.  Bill Campbell(2-3) was the loser in relief.

With this win, Sterling has a 53-49 record.  They have been 4-6 lately. John
Demijistre was unhappy with his club's recent performance.  'We can't keep
losing games' he said.  'It gets to be embarrassing after a while.'
