Dick Fowler was able to finish what he started and was credited with a
complete game as the Hibbing Dylans beat the Minnesota Loons by a score of 13
to 5.
Bob Thurman had a big day at the plate. He slapped a single in the 1st
inning, lofted a three-run 'big-fly' in the 2nd inning and banged out a
one-base hit in the 4th inning. Hibbing provided plenty of action in the 4th
inning when they had 6 runs on 7 hits. Hibbing had a total of 21 hits for
the game.
Fowler(10-4) lasted until the end allowing 5 runs for the win. Howie
Pollet(7-7) ended up with the loss. By surrending 12 runs in 4 innings his
ERA jumped from 3.45 to 3.82.
