Ron Guidry completed the game without help from the bullpen as the Cincinatti
Royalty defeated the Minnesota Loons by a score of 4 to 1 at The Looney
Bin.
Cincinatti scored 3 runs in the 4th inning with the help of 3 hits. The key
at-bat was by Gary Matthews who disappointed the partisan crowd when he laced
a single scoring two baserunners. Both teams' bats went to sleep after the
4th inning with no runs scored after that point.
Guidry(4-10) picked up the complete game victory, allowing 1 run. Joaquin
Andujar(7-6) absorbed the loss. He allowed 9 hits and 3 walks in 6 and 2/3
