16,989 fans watched an exciting game at Royal Oaks Ballpark.  The Michigan
Timbers topped the Gallifrey Time Lords by the slimmest of margins, 4 to
3.

Michigan came up with 2 runs in the bottom of the 6th inning.  The biggest
moment was provided by Frank Duncan who made the crowd come alive when he
lined a one-base hit which was good for two runs.  Gallifrey threatened in
the 9th but Michigan was able to put down the rally.  

Wilcy Moore(6-1) was the winner allowing no runs in 1 and 2/3 innings. Johnny
Miljus was credited with his 6th save.  Jesse Petty(6-8) was the losing
pitcher.  He gave up 4 runs and 7 hits in 8 innings.
