Bob Lemon tossed a complete game and Sid Gordon had 2 base hits and 2 RBI at
Mile High Stadium as the St Paul Saints beat the Denver Dingers 7 to 2.
St Paul took the lead for good in the top of the 3rd inning scoring a single
run. Lemon doubled. Jose Burgos was next and he laid down a sacrifice bunt.
Willie Mays then would ground out scoring the run. St Paul had 12 hits for
the night.
Lemon(9-7), allowing 2 runs for the game, picked up the victory. The loss was
charged to Johnny Sain(5-6). He allowed 4 hits and 3 walks in 5 innings.
