Both teams were tied at 1 runs apiece after nine innings. Mid-World came out
on top in the 10th inning. After an out was recorded, Jackie Tavener began
the rally when he banged out a single. Mickey Cochrane stepped up next and
he popped a two-run clout over the fence. Mid-World finished with 8 hits in
the victory.
The winning pitcher was Bert Cole(2-1) who allowed no runs in 1 and 2/3
innings. Hal Goldsmith recorded his 2nd save. Bill Doak(3-6) was the loser
in relief.
