WEB GEMS- Bot 4th: Andy Seminick blocked the plate, saving a run!

Sam Chapman cracked a homer and had 2 RBI as the Denver Dingers bested the
reeling Providence Red Pandas 11 to 3 at Corruption Park.

Denver scored 4 runs in the decisive 4th inning when they had 4 base hits.
The highlight belonged to Elbie Fletcher who silenced the crowd when he
ripped a one-base hit bringing in two baserunners. Providence was out-hit by
Denver, 15 hits to 9.

The victory went to Murry Dickson(7-5) who went 7 innings, allowing 3 runs.
Harry Brecheen(5-7) was charged with the loss. He allowed 3 homeruns in 6
innings of work.

Denver now has a record of 40-28. Jimmy McDonald was unhappy with his club's
recent performance. 'We can't keep losing games' he said. 'It gets to be
embarrassing after a while.'
