Juan Gonzalez slammed a homerun and had 3 RBI as the Michigan Timber defeated
the The Little Feat in 11 innings by the score of 7 to 5 at Camden
Yards.
Both teams had scored 5 runs after nine full innings. Michigan came out on
top in the 11th inning. Tim Salmon got things going when he stroked a
one-base hit. Gonzalez stepped into the batter's box and he lined a
base-hit. Eric Karros then hit a deep fly knocking in a run. Rey Sanchez
was up next and he reached on an error. Jed Hansen came to the plate and hit
a single scoring the final run of the inning. The The Little batters didn't
put up a fight in the bottom of the 11th.
The winning pitcher was Charles Nagy(5-6) who allowed no runs in 1 inning.
Trevor Hoffman gained credit for his 14th save. Bob Patterson(0-2) was the
loser in relief.
