The The Little Feat ended a long winless drought and had very little trouble
at Metropolitan Stadium downing the Sugarland Skeeters. The score was 11 to
5.
George Altman provided much of the offense. He doubled scoring a run in the
1st inning, singled in the 3rd inning and blasted a two-run home run in the
8th inning. The Little out-hit Sugarland for the game, 15 hits to 9.
The winning pitcher was Norm Bass(2-5) who allowed 5 runs in 8 innings. Warren
Spahn(2-13) suffered the loss. He allowed a few too many baserunners giving
up 7 hits and 2 walks in 2 and 1/3 innings.
'Thankfully we got ourselves a win', Bass said. 'It's great to be back on the
winning side of things.'
