Yellowhorse Morris was able to finish what he started and was credited with a
complete game as the Sterling Silver Sluggers defeated the Gallifrey Time
Lords by a score of 10 to 2 at Silver Slapper Park.

Gallifrey was unable to claim the lead after Sterling went ahead in the bottom
of the 3rd inning with 3 runs on 4 hits. Morris opened up the inning nicely
when he slapped a one-base hit. Zack Wheat was a strikeout victim, unable to
help out. One out later, Al Simmons then doubled scoring a single run. Ty
Cobb stepped in and he ripped a base-hit scoring one more run. Larry Woodall
stepped into the box and drew a walk. Russ Wrightstone added to the uprising
and stroked a one-base hit scoring the final run of the inning. That was all
the offense they were to need. Sterling totaled 10 hits on the afternoon.

The winning pitcher was Morris(4-4) who allowed 2 runs for the game. Jesse
Petty(7-10) was the loser. He was knocked around by Sterling, allowing 8
hits and 3 walks in 3 and 1/3 innings.
