Ted Blankenship(1-0) and Flint Rhem(5-5) treated the Colorado fans to a fine
pitching duel at Bright Health Park. The Colorado 14ers eventually emerged
as victors over the Towanda Black Knights by the score of 4 to 0.
Colorado scored 2 runs in the decisive bottom of the 4th inning with the help
of 4 hits. Chaney White led off and he drew a walk. Riggs Stephenson came
next and he grounded into a double play. Jack Fournier then blasted a solo
shot. Willie Wells came up and he doubled. Johnny Bassler stepped into the
box and laced a one-base hit. Andy High added to the rally and smacked a
single scoring the final run of the inning. Colorado out-hit Towanda for the
game, 9 hits to 4.
