Ruben Amaro lofted one into the 'cheap seats' and had 3 RBI as the Galifrey
Time Lords defeated the Savannah Rumrunners 8 to 4 at Griffith
Stadium.
Galifrey jumped on top of Savannah in the 2nd inning scoring 3 runners on 2
hits. The highlight belonged to Gary Geiger who disappointed the partisan
crowd when he doubled which was good for two runs. Galifrey managed 10 hits
in their victory.
Art Mahaffey(8-2) went 7 and 2/3 innings allowing 4 runs for the win. The
losing pitcher was Pedro Ramos(4-9). Galifrey scored big getting 8 runs off
him in 7 innings.
'Wow. That's about all I can think to say.' said Galifrey's manager following
the victory. 'If ever a team needed a win, it was us.'
