WEB GEMS- Top 5th: Sterling turns a triple play!

Ken Boyer touched them all and had 4 RBI at LA Wrigley Field where the
Galifrey Time Lords beat the Sterling Silver Sluggers 8 to 3.

Galifrey scored the winning runs in the top of the 9th inning scoring 5
runners on 4 hits. The highlight belonged to Rocky Colavito who deflated the
mood of the partisan fans when he cleared the fences for a two-run home run.
Galifrey ended up with 9 hits for the game while Sterling had 6.

The victory was credited to Don Mossi(6-3) who went 8 innings, allowing 3
runs. Jim Brosnan(4-4) took the loss in relief. His ERA ballooned from 3.00
to 3.89 as he allowed 5 runs in 2 innings.

Galifrey's manager was just happy to get a win, 'We've had such a bad streak
of games -- boy, it's great to get the monkey off our back. Now maybe we can
relax a little and play the kind of baseball of which we are capable.'
