Second baseman Red Schoendienst had 4 hits and 3 RBI as the Minnesota Loons
outscored the Sterling Silver Sluggers 10 to 4.

Minnesota went ahead for good in the top of the 6th inning scoring one runner
using 3 hits.  Minnesota had a total of 15 hits for the game.  

The win went to Joe Dobson(2-5) who allowed 4 runs in 6 innings. Dobson was
helped out by Larry Jansen who recorded his 1st save.  Warren Spahn(6-9) was
given the loss.  He was unable to control the Minnesota offense and allowed 9
hits and 2 walks in 6 innings.
