Left fielder Riggs Stephenson slammed a homerun and had 2 RBI as the Colorado
14ers topped the Savannah Rumrunners in 11 innings by a score of 5 to 4 at
Bright Health Park.
The score was knotted at 4 after nine innings. Colorado was victorious in the
11th inning. Bobby Robinson laced a base-hit. One out later, Zip Campbell
stepped up to the plate and he laid down a sacrifice bunt. Cocaina Garcia
then laced a one-base hit making Colorado the victor and beginning a joyous
home town celebration. Colorado had 15 hits for the game and Savannah had 9.
Campbell(2-2) was the winner allowing no runs in 1 and 2/3 innings. Rube
Currie(1-1) was the losing pitcher in relief. He allowed 1 run and 5 hits in
3 and 2/3 innings.
