In a two run game the The Little Feat got by the Iowa MoonlightGraham by the
score of 7 to 5.
The The Little fans enjoyed the offense provided by Dave Parker. He tripled
plating a run in the 1st inning, delivered a base-hit knocking in a run in
the 2nd inning and cleared the fences for a two-run home run in the 4th
inning. Iowa had a chance to come back in the 9th but they came up short.
Jon Matlack(4-3) got the win allowing 1 run in 7 innings. Matlack got relief
help from Bill Atkinson who gained credit for his 1st save. Dennis
Martinez(5-5) was the losing pitcher. He got hit pretty hard, allowing 10
hits and 2 walks in 4 innings.
With this win, The Little has a 25-28 record. They have been 3-7 lately. Not
able to get much going in recent weeks, Iowa is 0-10 of late and now has an
overall record of 29-31.
